Stupidity Virus
General MusingsIn the fall-winter months in the U.S., tens of thousands of people die as a result of contracting one or another strain of the regular-old-every-day-flu-bug. A national crisis? Nope. We, affectionately, call it "The Flu Season." Just like the basketball, football, or baseball seasons, we keep score. Here are the CDC stats for the past nine seasons:
CDC Influenza-Related Stats | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Season | Illnesses | Medical Visits | Hospitalizations | Deaths |
2018-2019 | 35,500,000 | 16,500,000 | 490,600 | 34,200 |
2017-2018 | 45,000,000 | 21,000,000 | 810,000 | 61,000 |
2016-2017 | 29,000,000 | 14,000,000 | 500,000 | 38,000 |
2015-2016 | 24,000,000 | 11,000,000 | 280,000 | 23,000 |
2014-2015 | 30,000,000 | 14,000,000 | 591,000 | 51,000 |
2013-2014 | 30,000,000 | 13,000,000 | 347,000 | 38,000 |
2012-2013 | 34,000,000 | 16,000,000 | 571,000 | 43,000 |
2011-2012 | 9,000,000 | 4,000,000 | 140,000 | 12,000 |
2010-2011 | 21,000,000 | 10,000,000 | 290,000 | 37,000 |
These numbers are all over the place. What strikes me as especially interesting is that there does not seem to be any correlation at all between flu shots and flu-related illnesses. The flu just keeps on coming, regardless of what our medical wizards do. If the flu vaccine was effective, would we not see the numbers significantly decreasing, year over year? It's almost as if the flu eggs us on and then laughs at our feeble efforts. Who does that sound like to you?
People die from flu-related illness every year and that’s a sad thing. Although, this is not a surprise. It is also not a surprise that the vast majority of these deaths are among people over the age of 50. Smart people in that age-group have always taken precautions by keeping their immune systems healthy, taking extra supplements like Vitamin D3, etc. They know that a healthy immune system can fight off these annual bug attacks without vaccines or other drugs of dubious value.
Life goes on, for most, and certainly no one gets particularly anxious or fearful when October rolls around and we enter another “season.” Since I haven't had a cold or the flu in more than a decade, I can testify that because my immune system receives regular doses of a number of supplements, herbs, etc., I never worry about being "around" sick people, I don't really care what they have. I have become my own medicine man using the gifts in nature that God gave us to stay healthy. I recently turned 70 and continue to laugh in the face of the flu, any flu.
Let's see, what would it take to convince the general population, that a perfectly ordinary, and not particularly virulent, flu virus, was actually a killer disease poised to eradicate mankind from the face of the earth?
Apparently, not much. Will we ever awake to a sense of our awful situation? Will we continue to accept the 911s and the COVID-19s and their freedom-robbing results, as par for the modern American course? Is this the way things will be from now on? Apparently so.
Those wielding power will continue in their crushing campaign of complete domination. And after centuries of steadily increasing tyranny, they have very nearly completed their task. But the even larger problem is a population that has been convinced to trade its liberty for a counterfeit safety. Even the "very elect" can be affected.
A population that is so easily driven to hysteria, ought to stop for some "agonizing reappraisal." Oh, that there was a “stupidity virus.” The mask-people would drop in their tracks. We have evolved from “Don’t tread on me” to “Don’t breathe on me.” How sad that we have become a nation of imbecilic lambs willingly lined up for the slaughter. This is not what our Founders had in mind when they envisioned a land of liberty. Not even close.
